This very unique car was sitting behind the Southern Pacific roundhouse in Ennis, Texas in late 1978.  The car does not appear to be a Fairmont product. Could this be a Fairbanks Morse product?  Front of the car is stenciled for the predecessor railroad, Texas and New Orleans.  Number is E6.

A sister car to the one at left was spotted in active service in Richardson, Texas in June 1978.  Again, I do not believe this is a Fairmont product, but can anyone confirm the manufacture of this type of car?
