Taylor was served by the International & Great Northern (I-GN) Railroad and the Missouri - Kansas - Texas ("Katy") Railroad. In the mid-1920s, the I-GN became part of Missouri Pacific. In the late 1980s, the Katy was merged into Missouri Pacific.
