Laredo was served by the Texas Mexican Railway, and the International & Great Northern (I-GN) Railroad, which was later acquired by the Missouri Pacific (MP).

The TM depot remains standing and is now owned by Kansas City Southern, the TM's parent company.

The lettering on the building says "The Texas Mexican Railway Company, Passenger Station".
